This morning Jacob shared his "me bag"!
In science we learned about the scientific method!
The scientific method helps us because it is the best way we have to get results that we know to be as accurate as we can make them, and independently reproducible, so other scientists can perform the same tests and get the same results.
1. Question – investigative or testable
2. Hypothesis – What do you predict will happen?
(If…then…because…)
3. Materials- What will I need?
4. Procedure – What steps will I follow?
5. Observations and Data Collections – What did I observe using my five senses? What did I record?
6. Results – What happened?
7. Conclusion – Was my hypothesis correct? Why or why not? What did I learn?
8. Extension – “I wonder” What would happen if…? What would I change? I wonder… How could I apply…
We wrote about why the scientific method is important to scientist. Then we came up with our own question and hypothesis!
In math we practiced going through our rotations. We went to each station and observed what we will be doing next week! We made notes in our math journals about each one.
We also wrote in our journals what the stations should look and sound like!
