Place Value

This morning Jordan shared his "me bag"!

 Today in science we finished our soil brochure!

 In math today we reviewed place value. We played a game against each other! On our desks, we each wrote _ _ _ , _ _ _ . Mrs. Forsong had a spinner with numbers 0-9 on it. She called out the number it landed on; for example, 6, then we had to decide where on our blank 100,000 we wanted to put it! The person who builds the biggest number wins! The trick is: you can't move a number once you write it and you don't know what number is coming next.

 

Here's an example of one of our games. Each number could be different in the end using all the same numbers!

 We also got a baggie full of numbers written different ways. We had to sort these numbers with our partner into groups that made sense to us.

We also went to stations today!
