Grandparents, Parents, and Kids

This morning Mason shared his "me bag"!

Today in science we learned about conserving our natural resources. We learned about what past generations have done to our nonrenewable resources. First, we each grabbed a piece of paper and opened it.

If our paper said "grandparent" we got to come up and grab 2 handfuls of cubes. If our paper said "parents" we got to grab one handful of cubes. If our paper said "kids" we only got to use two fingers to grab cubes. We learned that the "grandparents" carelessly used our non renewable resources. By the time the "parents" came along, they conserved a little but still used a lot of the resources. When the kids came along, they conserved even more but still used a good amount of nonrenewable resources. By the time each person came and got their cubes, there was only a few cubes left in the bag.

What about when the "kids" have kids? What resources would they be able to use? We talked about what we can do to conserve our nonrenewable resources so that the next generation will still have some to use!

We wrote in our journals what we were going to do for the future generations to save the nonrenewable resources!
Today in math we took our CBA.
